Central Library
The NANDHA MEDICAL COLLEGE& HOSPITAL ,Central Library is well equipped with Medical Books, Reference Source, CDs , E-Journals & E-Books ,Print Version National and International Journals. The Library has a carpet area of 5956 square meters and spread over two floors with separate reading halls for students and staff members. The centrally air conditioned with automated library . A separate digital library with 40 computers having dedicated high speed internet connection is made available in the library premises. Library is providing a growing range of databases available in electronic form on the campus network. The library has fully computerized its collection, which could be accessible through OPAC

LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS
- The library will be kept open on all working days from 8.00am to 8.00pm.
- Strict silence should be maintained in the library.
- Use of cell phone is banned in the library.
- Each students will be given two library card. Library books will be issued only on presentation of the library cards. Only one book will be issued per card.
- Reference books and journals will not be lent out.
- In case the card is lost, the librarian must be informed of the fact immediately in writing. A duplicate card may be got on payment ofRs.100/-(Rupees fifty only).
- Students should return the books on or before the due date. If a student fails to return a book on the due date a fine of Rs.5/per day will be levied, Sunday and holidays being excluded.
- In case a borrowed book is lost the latest price of the book will be collected from the defaulter with charges if any.
- Users must scan their identity card in the gate register system on entering and exit of the library.
- OPAC system gives the availability details of library sources; and also users can reserve the library documents.
- Users should avoid browsing social medias, downloading software, online shopping and using pen drives.
- Misuse of net is punishable. After usage, the users should shut down the systems properly.
- Users kindly place the library sources (books, journals, and magazines etc.)at the same place after perusal for proper maintenance.
- Books will not be issued to members on the ID card of others.
- Staff members and students should take care of the reading materials without causing damage of any sort like folding or underlining with pencil or pen.
- The borrower will be responsible for any loss or non-return of any books issued against his/her Library card.
- Books can be reserved for issue or for extended use if no other user has demand for the same book.
- Each member shall register in library automation during entry into library as taken of his/her acceptance to abide the rules and regulations of the library.
- The Librarian may refuse to issue books to those who violate the rules.
